Polish flowers
Kazik Pietruszewski

Everyone must be irritated by plastic bags that we get in supermarkets every time we do the shopping. What is really horrifying however is that immediately after reaching home the disposable bags in most cases are thrown into the waste bin to be later transported to the refuse dump, where they are going to decompose for the next x years (it is not known exactly how long) poisoning the environment. That is the reality. But what next?

”Kwiaty polskie” [“Polish flowers”] are Małgorzata Markiewicz’s and Ewa Pluta’s design targeted at women, who are assumed to be the main group of customers in groceries and supermarkets. The girls propose a shopping bag of multiple use, which is not only small and easy to take with you anytime, but also friendly and not commonplace, which qualities may attract all “progressive” housewives... In addition, the bag resembles a flower.
